Fall, 2019 Newsletter

Holiday Craft Night

We had our annual holiday craft night for our students and their parents earlier this month! Parents enjoyed the opportunity to join us at the school after hours and spend time with their children and other parents for this festive get-together!

A big thank you to all of our parents for supplying a variety of unique and engaging crafts!

Kindergarten Community Food Drive is a Huge Success!

We are so proud of the Kindergarten class for all of their hard work and for coming together to support a very important cause – planning, running and collecting 365 donations for the Sandwich Food Pantry! Well done!

And, thank you to all of our families for their generous donations – we couldn’t have done it without your support!

Kindergarten Community Food Drive

In conjunction with our November curriculum, the Kindergarten class is undertaking all responsibilities involved in running a Food Drive! They are advertising, collecting, counting, sorting, weighing and estimating all of the items collected…

This year’s beneficiary is the Sandwich Food Pantry, to which we will deliver the donated items prior to Thanksgiving.

We will be collecting donations through Wednesday, November 20th – please drop off donations in the lobby of either school building. Thank you for your support!

2019 Summer Camp Newsletter

Summer, 2019 was one for the books – full of friendships & memories that will last a lifetime! Thank you to all of our campers and families for your part in making this summer a tremendous success!

Welcome to the 2019-2020 School Year!

We will be open on Monday, September 2nd for families to stop by and visit their child’s classroom. Teachers will not be here, but the classrooms will be set up for Tuesday, our first day of school! #WelcometoFairAcres

2019 Eagles Newsletter

Our 2019 Eagles completed an application process, and were selected based on their outstanding leadership potential. All of this summer’s Eagles were once campers, but we welcome all 12-13-year-olds to apply to the program in 2020.

Our goal for the Eagles program is to form a group of young leaders who, over the course of six weeks, will hone practical leadership skills, such as teamwork, communication, commitment, imagination and responsibility. These are many of the skills we seek in our camp counselors, thus the Eagles program is a perfect stepping stone for a child who may aspire to become a counselor in the future.

Session 3 Highlights

Session 3 was full of FUN, SUN and FRIENDSHIP!

The camp spirit continued at an all-time high during Session 3, with our campers deepening existing friendships and forging plenty of new ones!

We were able to beat the heat with the famous Fair Acres Slip n’ Slide, inflatable water slides and water games! Carnival Day, “Summer Suds” and Campfire Night were definitely three of the session highlights, with a variety of exciting activities and games taking place over the course of the two weeks…

What people are saying about Kindergarten at Fair Acres:

“We feel that our son’s academic and social growth at Fair Acres since Preschool and now ending his tenure here in Kindergarten has improved exponentially! He went from being a socially shy and academically apprehensive child to a confident, happy and academically flourishing child.”

“My daughter has improved immensely so far. She is reading on her own, speaking Spanish, counting, knows the months in order and more. As well as academically, she has also grown emotionally which is just as important. I don’t have to fight for her to go to school. She wants to go on the weekends. This shows me she is really enjoying it as well.”
