Happy New Year to our wonderful students and their families!
We will look forward to welcoming you back to school on Thursday, January 2nd!
Fair Acres is so happy to be offering our Learn to Skate program again in 2020!
This program will take place in January at the Hyannis Youth and Community Center. The Fair Building students will travel by bus once a week for four weeks, and will enjoy the adventure of learning to skate together. Parents and grandparents are welcome to come and watch, or even better…lace up with us!
Added program benefit: not only is ice skating with friends FUN, it also improves posture, balance, flexibility and coordination, while enhancing muscle strength and endurance.
Our students made us so proud this fall, building friendships and enriching each others’ lives through collaborative learning and play! We are so pleased to present our Fall newsletter, which highlights some of the the incredible projects, activities and adventures we were able to engage in together so far this school year…
We had our annual holiday craft night for our students and their parents earlier this month! Parents enjoyed the opportunity to join us at the school after hours and spend time with their children and other parents for this festive get-together!
A big thank you to all of our parents for supplying a variety of unique and engaging crafts!
We are so proud of the Kindergarten class for all of their hard work and for coming together to support a very important cause – planning, running and collecting 365 donations for the Sandwich Food Pantry! Well done!
And, thank you to all of our families for their generous donations – we couldn’t have done it without your support!
In conjunction with our November curriculum, the Kindergarten class is undertaking all responsibilities involved in running a Food Drive! They are advertising, collecting, counting, sorting, weighing and estimating all of the items collected…
This year’s beneficiary is the Sandwich Food Pantry, to which we will deliver the donated items prior to Thanksgiving.
We will be collecting donations through Wednesday, November 20th – please drop off donations in the lobby of either school building. Thank you for your support!
Summer, 2019 was one for the books – full of friendships & memories that will last a lifetime! Thank you to all of our campers and families for your part in making this summer a tremendous success!
Check out the highlights in our 2019 Summer Camp Newsletter
We will be open on Monday, September 2nd for families to stop by and visit their child’s classroom. Teachers will not be here, but the classrooms will be set up for Tuesday, our first day of school! #WelcometoFairAcres
Our 2019 Eagles completed an application process, and were selected based on their outstanding leadership potential. All of this summer’s Eagles were once campers, but we welcome all 12-13-year-olds to apply to the program in 2020.
Our goal for the Eagles program is to form a group of young leaders who, over the course of six weeks, will hone practical leadership skills, such as teamwork, communication, commitment, imagination and responsibility. These are many of the skills we seek in our camp counselors, thus the Eagles program is a perfect stepping stone for a child who may aspire to become a counselor in the future.
